Sussex Gymnastics County Treasurers Report

 Year to 1st April 2025

I am pleased to be able to report on a very good financial year for the county.

The county funds increased by more than £10,000  driven by the enhanced income from the competitions that took place in the year, 10 in all.

The surplus from these competitions after paying all costs was just over £20,000

Just under half of this surplus £9,000 was used to support training throughout the county in two areas.

For the 3rd year running the county committee agreed to support affiliated clubs who booked BG courses for coaches levels 1-3 and judges, here support grants of 50% were given.

The county committee also agreed to trial this year  using some of its competition income to help fund gymnasts at the highest level who represent GB or home nations. This funding was welcomed both by clubs and individuals and take up was high.

Finally, some of the county funds were transferred into a building society club account, so that these funds earn interest for the county.
