GG Report for Sussex Gymnastics 2.2.26

Progress report

1. GG Sussex Champs –Novice & Inter held at lancing leisure center 22nd March  

Open to 1 hour, 2 hour and 4-hour gymnasts of ages above 7yrs

 

County champs for ABSG level will be again held at Hawth Gymnastics club K2 Leisure center on 14th June .

 

Online entries for both events will be via gymevent the same as Last

 

Budget sheets for both competitions will be sent 6 weeks prior to the event to the county chair/ secretary and treasurer.

 

WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK ANYONE WHO WOULD LIKE TO HELP ON THE DAY TO COME FORWARD AND ALSO HELP WITH SET UP THE EVEING BEFORE.

 

 

2. Judging workshop based on the new criteria for the regional and county judges will be held on 26th April, Timetable and venue TBC

This event will coincide with a county young development leaders/ coaches workshop and will give opportunity for all clubs across the county to be involved, possibly Morning for coaching development and afternoon for judging.

We are hoping to get BG regional coaching development team to attend this event, to give support and advise to the coaches/ clubs on the new foundation level qualifications.

 

budget sheet for this event will be sent in February when more details have been agreed

We would be looking to charge clubs a nominal fee to attend and secure places?  

 

3. We have also been looking into 4x4 comp for the county but are still struggling to find a venue to accommodate our timetable within a realistic budget and venue availability. We will keep looking and hopefully have something by the end of 2026/2027 in place

 

Action to be taken in the next 6 months.

1. Look into starting Back up the Sussex 4x4 also in 2026/2027
2. Book comp dates for 2027 – info will go straight to Emily to put on Sussex website by end of Summer holidays.
