Hawth Gymnastics are looking for a hard-working, ambitious and motivated coach to join our team and lead up our recreational programme.
Starting September 2022
Duties
- Working directly with recreational classes on a regular basis (including holiday clubs)
- Liaising and working with office staff to keep class numbers and records up to date (Microsoft Access Database)
- Be point of contacts for parents at class registration & dismissal
- Lead a team of 15 recreational coaches to ensure class continuity through the weekly programme.
- Set the yearly plan for recreational classes - including an annual club competition
- Lead the British Gymnastics Rise programme, setting a weekly focus and displaying / finding materials for coaches.
- Record badges/medals passed. Contact parents to collect and keep track of stock levels.
- Support and mentoring both academy (young leader) and new coaches through L1/L2 coaching certificates
- Work with our squad coaches on development and talent ID
- Report regularly to line managers (Club Manager and Operations Manager)
- Develop our advanced recreational groups with the long term goal to create and develop a low-level Floor and Vault competing group.
Required qualities
- Level 2 Coach General Gymnastics (other disciplines will be considered)
- Clear DBS Check & Current British Gymnastics Member
- Previous leadership experience
- Excellent communication skills with children, parents/carers & co-workers
- Confident management skills
- Competed IT skills - including use of Word, Excel & Access
- Flexibility in working hours
Desired qualities
- Level 3 Coach (General Gymnastics)
- Previous work in a leadership roll in a gymnastics/club setting or other industry.
- Familiarity with the Rise Programme
- Experience of local Floor & Vault competitions
- Flexibility in working hours
